Stronger Every Mile

Reached a breaking point? Feeling Lost? Forgotten who you are?

What do you do?

You’ve done the hard things—raised a family, worked, held it all together.
But maybe now you’re asking:

  • “What’s next—for me?”

  • “Is it too late to push my limits?”

  • “Can I get strong again, inside and out?”

Do you play it safe or do you step out of
your comfort zone?

Well, when your daughter says

“Why don’t you do a Half Ironman and I’ll do it with you?”

Do you laugh it off, think about it and then move on?

Or do you cease the moment before its too late, book an event the other side of the world, to escape, to be free, to have an adventure. Then book flights and plan your six week road trip?

Why I decided to write a book

When we returned to England, my sister Ava said “You should write a short piece for a woman’s magazine.” I said ‘maybe’. (A bit like when your children ask you a question and you respond with “one day” (you really mean “Never”).

But, one day I started writing notes on my mobile, then I opened my laptop and the words just came. I loved reliving our incredible adventure. I was so excited about the prospect of inspiring so many mothers like me, that I just went with it.

Obviously, like most things it took much longer than planned. But I enjoyed every minute of it. I learnt a lot about myself. Including the reminder that you can achieve anything you want, if you put your mind to it. What started off feeling like the impossible suddenly became very real and possible.
